World Cup 12 June, 2006
The Tivo is all programmed for the World Cup now. I've got probably 75% of the games scheduled for recording, and will record every game of the round of 16 on. I wonder how much U2 got paid to, at least what appears to be, provide access to their catalog so ABC/ESPN can create little video montages and the TV ads. Watched the Sweden/Trinidad & Tobago match and think the Swedes must be kicking themselves for only getting one point. The Australia/Japan match this morning was entertaining. The Japan goal was certainly controvesial - the keeper should have been allowed to get to the ball, but no penalty was called. The last 20 minutes, the Japanese started to look winded and you could see the Aussies getting more energy and then the avalanche of goals started.
Looking forward to the USA/Czech match, but that will have to wait until after work - it starts at 9:00 am here.
